Milton History Harvest
This exhibit highlights some of the historical items displayed at the 2017 and 2018 Milton History Harvests.
Milton is a borough in Northumberland County, PA. American settlers first reached the area in 1770, before the borough's incorporation in 1817. Notable residents include James Pollock, the 13th governor of Pennsylvania who coined the term "In God We Trust" on federal currency.

Northumberland County History Harvest
This exhibit features some of the historical items displayed at the Northumberland County History Harvests of 2017 and 2022.
The town of Northumberland was founded by Reuben Haines in 1772. The area that became the county was bought from the Iroquois people in 1768. The purchase was a part of the Treaty of Fort Stanwix, which established a Line of Property for Pennsylvanian settlers. Northumberland County was evacuated in 1778 during the Big Runaway, a mass evacuation after British forces devastated small communities in the Susquehanna Valley. Many of the evacuees relocated to Fort Augusta and what is now Sunbury.

Selinsgrove History Harvest
The Selinsgrove History Harvest shares the diverse history of the town, from schools to sports.
The original people of the area were Shenk's Ferry Native Americans. In the 1550s, they were displaced by the Susquehannock people. There was an 80 year period where the land was used by Native Americans to hunt and fish. The first settler to reach the area in 1754 was named George Gabriel. On October 16, 1755, the Penn's Creek Massacre took place. Lenape Native Americans allied with the French and conducted raids on Pennsylvanian settlements, including what would become Selinsgrove. Selinsgrove was later founded in 1787. The founder was Revolutionary War Soldier Capt. Anthony Selin. The borough is home to Susquehanna University.

Snyder County Exhibit
The Snyder County History Harvest shares the diverse history of the county, from schools to sports.
The area was first inhabited by American settlers in the 1740s. The primary settlers were of Pennsylvania Dutch origin and came from Lancaster and Berks counties. Snyder County was founded in 1855 from parts of Union County. The county was named after Simon Snyder, who was the governor of Pennsylvania from 1808-1817. The county seat, Middleburg, was incorporated nine years later in 1864.

Sunbury History Harvest
This exhibit highlights some of the historical items displayed at the 2017 and 2022 Sunbury History Harvests.
Sunbury is a city in Northumberland County, PA. The first inhabitants on the land were most likely Shawnee Native Americans. After Lenape land was ceded in 1737, the Delaware Native Americans were ordered to live in what is now Sunbury. Up until 1756, Sunbury was an extremely prominent Native American settlement known as Shamokin. On March 21, 1772, Northumberland county was incorporated and divided, and Shamokin was renamed Sunbury. In July 1883, Thomas Edison installed the first successful three-wire light system in Sunbury.

World War One
This exhibit highlights some of the historical items displayed at the 2018 World War One Harvest. These items include a mess kit, which a soldier ate from in 1917; a medal dedicated to the people of Sunbury for their part in the war effort; dog tags worn by soldier Bryan Graybill; and a 20th century gas mask.
World War One, also called the Great War, was a global conflict that took place from 1914-1918. The United States entered World War One on April 6, 1917. 297,000 Pennsylvanians served in the war, wounding 26,000 and killing 10,278. Six Pennsylvanians were awarded Medals of Honor after the devastating war.
