    During Milton's 150 year celebration, Sesquicentennial Week was held from June 18-24, 1967. The sesquicentennial parade was over two and a half hours long. It included over 6,000 participants, 100 floats, 16 marching bands, and more. Participants dressed in attire appropriate to the early 1800's: this hat and ribbon were worn in the parade.

    During Milton's Sesquicentennial (150 year) celebration in 1967, the Brothers of the Brush formed. In April, the Brothers of the Brush vowed not to shave their facial hair until Sesquicentennial Week in June. During Sesquicentennial Week, a beard judging competition occurred, awarding participant's beards in ten different categories.

    During Milton's 150 year celebration, the Sesquicentennial Belles (Sesqui Belles) were incorporated in many events. Women wore long dresses and bonnets for a fashion show and for the parade. This dress was made by Gladys Hertz for Milton's sesquicentennial celebration in 1967.
