    Clement (C.) Elwood Fasold, an amateur photographer, was also a station master for PP & L and photographer for the Pennsylvania railroad.

    Due to his affiliation with the railroad, the Fasold's were able to travel very often. This picture depicts Sarah (background) preparing to board a Pennsylvania Canal boat.

    This railroad lantern was used by JoAnn Bender's grandfather when he would shovel coal into train engines. He worked for the railroad after returning home from his service as a medic in World War I.

    Raised lettering on the lantern reads "P. & R. RY. Co." The Philadelphia and Reading Railroad Company (P. & R. RY. Co.) began passenger service from Philadelphia to Milton in 1854. Additional lines were later added from Milton to Williamsport (1871) and from West Milton to Shamokin (1883).

    This railroad tie and spike were found in the Doughty mine. The Doughty mine was located a few miles south of Sunbury, near Selinsgrove. During the mid-1800's, experimental digging in search of zinc and galena occurred at the mine.
