The Hotel Shikellamy was built in 1891 and operated until 1898. Overlooking the Susquehanna River, the land where the hotel stood is now Shikellamy Lookout State Park.
This brochure advertised the Hotel Shikellamy. It outlined the location of the hotel, amenities and entertainment offered by the hotel. Recreation opportunities at the hotel included a bowling alley, outdoor croquet, and lawn games.
The Hotel Shikellamy was built in 1891 by the Drumheller brothers of Sunbury. The hotel burned to the ground on May 4, 1898. A large dining room on the property accommodated the many travelers that were brought to the area by train and canal.
